Injectables in Estero & Naples — Botox, Dysport & Dermal Fillers
Skinhaus Aesthetics is the Estero practice of Brandie Gostigian, PA-C — a Galderma GAIN national trainer with more than fourteen years of injectable experience. Patients drive from Naples, Bonita Springs, and across Southwest Florida for neuromodulators (Botox & Dysport) and hyaluronic acid dermal fillers (Restylane, Juvéderm, Evolysse, and RHA) placed with a conservative, naturalistic eye.
Candidacy
Who’s a good candidate for Botox or filler at Skinhaus
Most patients book one of three questions: Am I too young to start? Have I waited too long? Will it still look like me? For neuromodulators, candidates are generally adults with dynamic wrinkles — the lines that appear when you smile, frown, or raise your eyebrows. Filler candidates want to restore volume in the lips, cheeks, jawline, or under-eye area, or refine facial proportion without surgery.
Injectables are not safe for everyone. Brandie will postpone or decline treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a known sensitivity to botulinum toxin or hyaluronic acid, have an active skin infection at the injection site, or live with a neuromuscular condition such as myasthenia gravis, ALS, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome. Recent courses of aminoglycoside antibiotics also require a short delay. Your consultation is where these factors are screened honestly and without pressure.
How injectables work
Two distinct classes, two different problems
Neuromodulators — Botox & Dysport
Both are purified botulinum toxin type A. Injected into a targeted muscle, they temporarily quiet the nerve signal that drives contraction — softening the dynamic wrinkles caused by that movement. Common zones are the forehead, glabella (the “11 lines”), crow’s feet, the masseter for jawline slimming or TMJ relief, and platysmal bands on the neck. Botox typically shows the first softening at 3–5 days with full effect at 10–14 days; Dysport often onsets a day or two earlier and diffuses slightly more. Both last approximately 3–4 months before muscle activity returns.
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers — Restylane, Juvéderm, Evolysse, and RHA
Hyaluronic acid is a sugar molecule your body already produces. Each filler family is engineered for a different tissue: lip fillers are softer and more elastic; cheek and jawline products are firmer and shaped for structural support; under-eye fillers are designed to integrate without overcorrecting. Lip filler typically lasts 6–12 months; structural placement in the cheeks and jawline can last 12–18 months. The RHA collection carries FDA-approved longevity claims of up to 15 months for dynamic facial wrinkles. Every HA filler we use is reversible — if a result needs adjustment, hyaluronidase dissolves the product in a single follow-up visit.
Brandie’s Galderma GAIN national trainer credential means she teaches other clinicians how to safely place Restylane, Dysport, and Sculptra — the same products you receive at your appointment.
Your appointment
What to expect, step by step
- Consultation. Brandie reviews your goals, medical history, current medications, and any previous injectable history. Photos are taken for your chart.
- Plan. You agree on product, units or syringes, and treatment zones together — documented before any product is opened.
- Topical numbing. A 10–15 minute numbing cream is applied for filler appointments; most neuromodulator appointments don’t need it.
- Injection. Botox and Dysport take 5–15 minutes. Filler runs 30–60 minutes depending on volume and area.
- Cold compress + observation. Light icing reduces swelling at the puncture sites. Aftercare is reviewed before you leave.
Downtime & aftercare
For neuromodulators, stay upright for 4 hours, avoid touching or rubbing the treated areas for 12 hours, and skip strenuous exercise for 24 hours. First softening shows at 3–5 days; full effect at 10–14 days. For HA fillers, mild swelling for 24–72 hours is normal, and bruising — when it happens — usually resolves in under a week. Avoid dental work and elective procedures involving the treated area for 2 weeks. Final filler integration shows at the two-week follow-up.
Pricing
How Skinhaus prices injectables
Neuromodulators are priced by the unit. Dermal fillers are priced by the syringe. Combination plans — a tox session paired with structural cheek filler, for example — are quoted at consultation so you see the total cost before any product is opened. We don’t publish a fixed per-unit or per-syringe price online because honest pricing depends on the size of your treatment plan, the products used, and current manufacturer pricing. Range estimates can mislead a new patient into underestimating what their face actually needs, or paying for a plan that doesn’t suit them. Request a consultation for a written estimate before booking.
Naples & Southwest Florida
Why Naples patients drive to Estero for injectables
Skinhaus sits about twenty minutes north of downtown Naples in Estero. Many of our patients are long-time Naples residents who first met Brandie at her previous practice with Kent V. Hasen, MD and chose to continue care with her after she opened Skinhaus.
Brandie’s Galderma GAIN national trainer credential is rare in Southwest Florida — she travels nationally to teach Restylane and Dysport technique to other injectors. That training depth shows up in conservative dosing, balanced facial proportion, and an explicit “let’s go subtle and build” philosophy. If overdone results have frustrated you in the past, this is the difference patients describe most often. You will not be rushed, upsold, or pressured into more product than your face needs. When a concern is really about skin quality — sun damage, brown spots, or texture — rather than movement or volume, she’ll point you toward our laser treatments instead.
Patient FAQ
Common questions about injectables
How long does Botox last in Estero, FL?
For most patients a single Botox treatment lasts about three to four months. Patients with naturally low muscle activity may see closer to five months; athletes and patients with very active facial muscles often notice movement returning closer to the three-month mark. Dysport lasts a similar three to four months.
Botox or Dysport — which is better for my face?
Both are excellent products and Brandie carries both. Dysport tends to onset a day or two faster and diffuses slightly more, which can suit the forehead. Botox is often preferred for precise placement near the brows or around the eyes. The right choice is decided at consultation, not in advance.
How long does dermal filler last?
Longevity depends on the product family and the area treated. Lip filler typically lasts 6–12 months. Structural cheek and jawline filler — placed deeper, in firmer product — can last 12–18 months. RHA fillers carry FDA-approved longevity claims of up to 15 months. Faster metabolizers and frequent gym-goers tend to see shorter results.
Can I exercise after Botox?
We ask patients to avoid strenuous exercise — anything that significantly elevates heart rate or blood pressure — for 24 hours after Botox or Dysport. Light walking and routine daily activity are fine immediately. The reason is to minimize bruising at the injection sites and reduce the small theoretical risk of product migration.
Will I look "frozen" after Botox with Brandie?
No. Brandie's training philosophy and the Galderma GAIN curriculum she teaches both favor conservative initial dosing — softening movement rather than eliminating it. You will look like yourself, just less tired. Patients who want a stronger result can request more units at the two-week follow-up; we add, we never have to subtract.
What's a Galderma GAIN trainer, and why does it matter?
The Galderma Aesthetic Injector Network (GAIN) is the global education program Galderma runs for clinicians who inject Restylane, Dysport, and Sculptra. Roughly 800 trainers worldwide — Brandie is one — teach other injectors safe, on-label technique. It is a credential earned through clinical experience and ongoing evaluation, not a marketing label.
Can I see Brandie if I previously saw her at Dr. Hasen's office?
Yes. Many of her long-time Naples patients have followed Brandie to Skinhaus. Bring any treatment history records you have; if not, she can usually reconstruct your plan from past photos and conversation at your first appointment. New patients are equally welcome.
How soon after Botox or filler can I fly?
Most patients fly the same week without issue. For neuromodulators, we suggest waiting 24 hours; for filler, 48–72 hours is more cautious, mostly because cabin pressure can amplify minor swelling and you want to be home in case a small touch-up is needed. Plan injectables before a wedding or major event, not after.
